About TechRec Recycling

TechRec was founded with a simple yet impactful mission: to contribute to a cleaner planet by responsibly recycling electronic waste.
 

The journey began in March 2023 when our founder, Zachary Myers, started repairing and reselling Chromebooks. While recycling broken parts through third-party companies, he realized the importance of managing the recycling process firsthand. This realization led to the official launch of TechRec Recycling, dedicated to sustainable e-waste management and IT asset disposition.

Since our inception, we have successfully recycled over one million pounds of electronics—and we’re just getting started.

Zachary Myers

Zachary is the founder of TechRec Recycling and oversees the growth of the company. In his free time, he likes to play basketball and drive up north into the Arizona mountains.

Austin Lean

Austin recently joined TechRec as the head of our Business Development efforts. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, camping, and anything related to the outdoors. He is passionate about building relationships and making an impact here in the Valley.

Aaron Nelson

Aaron was TechRec's first employee and currently serves as the Warehouse Manager, focusing on refurbishing computers for resale. He is also an avid mechanic and enjoys adding modifications to his car.
